Delta Assembly Primaries: Speaker, Deputy, Okowa, Uduaghan, Manager’s Children Emerge APC Candidates

CANDIDATES have emerged from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections for the Delta State House of Assembly across the 29 state constituencies in next year’s general elections.
Among them are the current Speaker of the Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, who won the Warri South-West Constituency ticket, and his Deputy, Arthur Akpowowo, for Ethiope East Constituency.
Also, daughter of the immediate past governor and candidate for Delta North senatorial district, Ifeanyi Okowa, Marilyn Okowa-Daramola, currently a member, secured a return ticket for Ika North-East Constituency.
Similarly, Orode Uduaghan, a former commissioner and daughter of former governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, picked Warri North Constituency ticket, while Funyei Manager, also a former commissioner and son of former long serving senator, James Manager, emerged victorious in Bomadi Constituency.
Cordilia Anyangwu won the ticket for Ika South, while incumbent lawmaker representing Isoko South Constituency II, Ferguson Onwo, secured re-election ticket, and his colleagues- Augustine Uroye and Benson Obire- won for Warri South Constituencies I and II, respectively.
ThankGod Trakiriowei won the Patani Constituency ticket, and Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo and Perez Oloye for Burutu Constituencies I and II, respectively.
In Isoko North Constituency, Orobosa Ashakah secured the ticket, while Lucky Idhoveh emerged for Isoko South Constituency I, and Oghenedoro Owoso for Ethiope West.
Incumbent lawmaker, Matthew Omonade, and Joseph Okoro were victorious in Ughelli North Constituencies I and II, respectively, while Festus Utuama was returned unopposed in Ughelli South Constituency for a second term.
Member representing Okpe Constituency, James Augoye, secured a return ticket, Benjamin Sharta emerged in Udu Constituency, Edafe Emakpor clinched the ticket for Uvwie Constituency, while Perkins Umukoro won a reelection slot for Sapele State Constituency.
In Oshimili South, incumbent lawmaker, Bridget Anyafulu, emerged victorious, while Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Innocent Eseweze, secured the ticket for Oshimili North Constituency.
Isaac Anwuzia and Fidel Onwordi won the tickets for Aniocha South and Aniocha North Constituencies, respectively.
The Ukwuani Constituency slot was won by incumbent lawmaker, Chukwudi Dafe, while Emeka Osamuta and Princewill Olie secured victories in Ndokwa East and Ndokwa West Constituencies, respectively.
