OPERATIVES of the Department of State Services (DSS), on Monday, January 19, arrested a former attorney general of the Federation and minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) in front of the Kuje Correctional Centre shortly after a visit to the facility, following his release on bail by a court, where he is facing trial for corruption.
A video circulating on social media showed the former minister walking towards a vehicle belonging to the DSS moments after leaving the prison premises.
Before then, Malami was seen requesting the operatives to identify themselves by presenting their official identity cards.
It was gathered that there were several petitions against the once-powerful minister the the President Muhammadu Buhari administration bordering on alleged terrorism financing, which is a serious offences worldwide.
