*How 50 Cent Snubbed My Request To Take Picture With Him

NIGERIAN musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has vowed not to cheat on his partner, Chioma Rowland, again, pledging to focus on family.
In an interview on The Breakfast Club podcast on Tuesday, April 8, the Afrobeats singer addressed his past relationships, acknowledging that past mistakes have shaped his current perspective.
“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I have five kids with four women. I’d rather go and live how my other guys are living.
“Maybe because I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher.”
He hopes to avoid the pitfalls of polygamous lifestyle, even as he confirmed that he and his longtime partner, Chioma, would hold their white wedding this August in Miami, United States.
They had a traditional ceremony and welcomed a set of twins in 2023.
Davido also spoke emotionally about his late son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in 2022, drawing a touching connection to his newborn son: “We’ve got twins now, a boy and a girl. The boy looks exactly like my son who passed. They act the same. Everything he used to do, he does.”
Meanwhile, the singer, recalling his first encounter with American rapper, 50 Cent, disclosed that the G-Unit boss turned down his request for a photo.
He reminisced being a teenager when his family celebrated his elder brother’s birthday in Las Vegas, where he met 50 Cent, who bluntly refused to take a picture with him.
He stated: “The first time I ever saw 50 Cent, I was a kid in Vegas. I was like ‘can I have a picture,’ he said, ‘no.’
“My brother was turning 21, my dad took everybody to Vegas, but I was 14, so I can’t do nothing. They were doing the whole thing; I was just sitting in the lobby. I used to love Lloyd Banks, he was my favourite. So, I saw him and I went to him and took a picture with him.
“Then I saw 50 Cent, I went to him and said in Nigerian accent, ‘Wow! 50 Cent, I love you. Can I have a picture?’ He said, ‘No’ and just walked off.
“I told him about the incident years later when we met as colleagues and he said, ‘You are here now, right?”
A few years ago, 50 Cent brought Davido on as a surprise guest performer at his MSG show in New York and they are set to co-headline a concert in London later this year alongside Mary J. Blige.
