Lookman Fires Atalanta To Historical Europa Final

NIGERIAN Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, scored a goal and provided an assist to enable his Italian side reached the final of this season’s UEFA Europa League, following its 3-0 win against Marseille, making the Gian Piero Gasperini’s side to prevail in the semi-final contest on a 3-1 on aggregate.

It was the first time Atalanta would make it to the final of any European competition in its history.

The Nigerian winger gave the hosts the lead inside 30th minute, before setting up Matteo Ruggeri for the second goal in the 52nd minute.

Lookman was replaced by El Bilal Toure 13 minutes from time and Toure scored the third goal deep into stoppage time to cement a final spot for the Italian side.

Lookman has now scored 12 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions for Atalanta this season.
