THE Lagos State Police Command has arrested a medical doctor, identified as Idara Bassey, over the death of a 36-year-old woman, simply identified as Abiola, during a butt enlargement surgery.
Spokesman of the Command, Mr. Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest, days after the security operatives declared him wanted, said the doctor was being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on Panti Street, Yaba.
Recall that Abiola had, on August 26, left her Diamond Estate home in Sangotedo, Ibeju Lekki area of the state, to the clinic for the operation, but tragically died after a nurse at the clinic administered an injection on her.
Her driver subsequently reported the incident at the Maroko Police Division, but the doctor had fled the hospital before operatives arrived the scene.
