Portable Knocks Out Speed Darlington In Celebrity Fight

CONTROVERSIAL musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has knocked out his rival, Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, or Akpi, in boxing bout, tagged, ‘Chaos in the Rings’ held at the Balmoral Events Centre in Lagos.
In the keenly contested bout that ended on Saturday morning, April 19, Portable displayed incredible boxing skills and defeated his opponent by technical knockout.
The fight was preceded by a weigh-in session that almost escalated into violence, as both artists exchanged verbal insults and punches before being separated by bouncers.
Finally in the ring, the two celebrities throw punches at each other, with the zazu-zeh crooner emerging victorious after knocking out and leaving Darlington with an injured right wrist.
In the first round, Portable threw several calculated punches, breaking Darlington’s hand, but emerged victorious after knocking out Darlington in the second round.
A viral video showed Darlington coming into the arena with a casket for portable, who arrived as a prisoner for the bout billed for four rounds.
Darlington threw in the towel and was taken out of the arena in an ambulance with a broken arm.
The antagonism between the two celebrities started Darlington offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at his show, which Portable rejected as disrespectful, insisting his standard fee was ₦20million.
In a viral video, he said: “You’re using my name to promote your show and offering ₦500k? I don’t roll with poor people.”
An enraged Darlington regretted reaching out, accusing Portable of unnecessary insults and dragging his mother into the fray.
At the weigh-in, tensions rose further when Portable boasted about his strength, while Darlington expressed confidence, vowing to take home the winner’s belt.
“I’ll finish you. Let’s go now! I’ve done it before; I beat Charles Okocha, and I’ll do it again,” Portable declared.
