Tinubu, Oborevwori Celebrate Oyedepo At 71

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has felicitated with the Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, as he cleric clocked 71st on Saturday, September 27.
Similarly, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, in a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, in Asaba, extolled Oyedepo’s unwavering devotion to God’s work and his profound impact on the spiritual and socio-educational growth of the country.
Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, while praising Oyedepo’s decades of influence on Nigeria’s spiritual and educational landscape, described him as “a towering figure of influence and impact in Nigeria, Africa and beyond on spiritual, educational and philanthropic platforms.”
He commended Oyedepo’s discipline and diligence since establishing the ministry in 1982, saying these qualities have translated into the global expansion of the church worldwide and significant contributions to infrastructure, health and education across several cities and countries.
While underscoring Oyedepo’s investments in education, the President pointed to the Kingdom Heritage Schools, Faith Academy and the two universities- Covenant and Landmark- which he said “continue to raise the standard of education, competing favourably with other global institutions.”
He added: “You have built one of Africa’s most impactful Christian ministries from humble beginnings.
“Your steadfastness in the ministry is exemplary, birthing many ministries with resonating impact on key sectors of the economy.”
The President stated that Oyedepo’s contributions to nation-building through preaching, teaching and service remain deeply appreciated by the government, describing him as “a pacesetter and symbol of a servant leader for many to emulate.”
He prayed for the Bishop’s long life, good health and wisdom to continue to lift individuals, families and nations “with the Word of Faith.)
In the same vein, Oborevwori, described the revered cleric as a rare gift to Christendom, whose teachings, prayers and mentorship have continued to shape generations of God-fearing Christians within and beyond Nigeria.
he stated that Oyedepo is not only a father of faith, but also a role model, whose life of service, integrity and visionary leadership continues to inspire millions, including himself.
Highlighted the cleric’s pioneering role in the Christian ministry and education, the governor noted his enduring legacies in the establishment and nurturing of the two universities, which have remained centres of excellence and moral upbringing.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo, as he marks 71 remarkable years of a life dedicated to God and humanity.
“Your commitment to nation-building, spiritual guidance and the empowerment of youths through quality education is truly commendable.
“We remain proud of your accomplishments and grateful for the positive influence you have had on countless lives.”
The governor also prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon Oyedepo, wishing him sound health, renewed strengt, and many more years of impactful service in the Lord’s vineyard and to humanity.
