Asake Reconciles With Father, Buys Him House, Settle Medical Bills

Published:

POPULAR Nigerian musician, Ahmed Ololade, known by his stage name, Asake, has finally reconciled with his ailing father, Fatai Odunsi, with a promise to buy a house for him and foot his medical bills.
Odunsi, who has been battling stroke, had publicly called out of his son for allegedly abandoning him since 2022 when his health started failing, saying the music star’s fame and fortune had not rubbed off on him.
But in a new video on Sunday, March 16, Odunsi confirmed that Asake had contacted him, with a promise to buy him a house, take care of his medical expenses and also responsibility for his daughter.
In a clip captioned, ‘No more fight,’ shared by one Shade Metibogun, Odunsi, in a three-minute interview, disclosed that Asake had asked real estate agents to search for a house for him and was going to take responsibility of his daughter, adding that he would be going to the hospital the next day and his son had already sent him all the necessary funds for his treatment.
Speaking in Yoruba, Odunsi expressed pride in Asake and showered him with prayers, saying he called him out because it had been a long time since he saw him.
“His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.”
“Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled, no more problems. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.”
He confirmed that Asake has agreed to take full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, adding: “He has never denied his child, but he has now promised to take full responsibility for the child.”
