*You Gave Me Money, But Snubbed My Calls, Messages, Portable Tells Burna Boy
NIGERIAN music producer and artist manager, Soso Soberekon, has offered a N20million for a rematch of the boxing bout between singers, Speed Darlington and Portable.
This just as Darlington blamed everything and everybody but himself for losing the match. In addition to accusing Partable of using juju on him, he has also added ethnic dimension to it.
First, hesaid Portable may have used juju on him, to which the Zazoo croner challenged Darlington to also go diabolical, saying: “I am not a loser; I am a winner. He is saying I used juju. Yes, na juju, go find your own juju.
Now, in an Instagram live session shortly after the April 18, celebrity boxing match, tagged, ‘Chaos in the Rings,’at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Darlington accused the organisers and Judges of bias in favour of Portable, saying: “Yoruba Judges, Yoruba is everything, of course, Yoruba gang will win. Don’t pretend tribalism is not in Nigeria, of course, he will win when Yoruba is the Judge.
“Everybody inside the ring is Yoruba, the stage we are fighting in is Yoruba, of course, he will be awarded the win.”
Recall that Grammy award-wining musician, Burna Boy, who had been at loggerheads with Darlington for cyberstalking, had gifted Portable a princely sum of N20million for beating Darlington.
However, Soberekon has put down N20million for the rematch, saying: “Rematch N20m for the winner. @speeddarlintv you have my number or tell the promoters to reach out to me.”
Portable had earlier rejected Darlington’s talk of a rematch, saying he was already looking forward to fighting another opponent.
In a related development, Portable has called out Burna Boy for snubbing his calls and messages after gifting him N20million.
According to Daily Post, the street artist explained that what he really wants is for the Grammy-winning artist to collaborate with him on a song.
He lamented that Burna Boy was not replying to his messages or picking his calls, saying: “Burna Boy gave me 20 million naira, but he won’t reply my DMs on Instagram, pick my calls or even link me.
“I don’t even have his number. The 20M will finish, what I really need from him is a verse. Why are you so stingy with your replies?”
