OPERATIVES of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have arrested at least some officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), including Simeon Yakubu Anyebe, Ibrahim Ayefu and Iwodi Obochi of the Mining Marshals unit in connection with the death of Agada Levi Agada, a Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC).
The Force Intelligence Department (FID) opened an investigation into Agada’s death following receipt of a petition filed by his family lawyer, Nwabueze Obasi-Obi, during which over N2billion was traced to a Zenith Bank account belonging to one of the suspects, Jibril Labaran, an NSCDC Minning Marshal.
A Police source said “transfer and receipt of such clandestine monies from his account to and from the accounts of some of the other suspects.”
